I’m really enjoying this beautiful Fall weather…and so are all my plants! My zinnias are absolutely stunning, blooming alongside the lantana and monarda (bee balm) that line the fence. Together, they’re not just lovely to look at; they’re also a wonderful source of nectar for the butterflies and hummingbirds that flutter in and out throughout the day.
My Encore azaleas are blooming profusely. If you’re not familiar with Encores, they’re the special kind that bloom twice a year…what a treat! Out back, the sun impatiens in the large round bed are each about a foot and a half tall and covered in vibrant blooms.
But truly, the “star of the show” has to be my impatiens out front. They are about 3 feet tall and beyond gorgeous…just overflowing with blooms. The picture below doesn’t even come close to doing them justice! But every single flower, in my front yard and my back yard, seem to be celebrating this cool, refreshing weather with a glorious display of color.
When I look around at all this beauty, I can’t help but praise the Lord God for His magnificent Handiwork. As a nature artist, I love trying to capture some of this beauty on canvas…but no matter how skilled the artist, nothing could ever match the breathtaking splendor found in nature…crafted by the Master Painter Himself.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”
— Psalms 19:1
