Ponder His Works

I’m always amazed at how many people don’t take the time to stop and see the wonders God is constantly placing before us. Yesterday, I literally gasped when I saw the clouds in the late afternoon sky…so beautiful I had to snap a quick picture before they vanished. Almost every day, the Lord paints a new display, showing not only that He exists, but that He is Almighty God, the Lord of Heaven and earth.

I love this verse of scripture from the NIV version of God’s Word:

“Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them…”.

I love that rather old fashioned word ‘ponder’. That’s a great word to describe how we need to reflect on His wonderful works. To “ponder” His Works…Really observe the clouds, the flowers, the birds, the butterflies. They are true miracles. But these wonders aren’t just beautiful…they are reminders to us that He is the God of the Universe…and that there is nothing impossible with Him. We are to trust Him with the things we cannot control…rest in His care, and let Him be God! Let Him be the God of miracles…for HE CERTAINLY IS!
