THE COMING SPRING 2026

Winter has spoken and, hopefully, has begun to loosen its hold, leaving behind its quiet blanket of snow here in Arkansas…and hopefully all across the country. Now my gaze can shift to the long-awaited spring thaw, to the simple act of waiting and watching. Spring arrives softly, almost unnoticed at first, until the first crocuses appear, pushing bravely through the cold earth…tiny little bursts of color against a weary gray. They are nature’s gentle promise that change is on the way.
Spring officially arrives on March 20th, carrying in longer days, warmer light, and a softer feel in the air. Though it’s still too early to plant my gardens, hope has already taken root, and for now, that is more than enough. In fact, once the snow melts this coming week, I’ll need to head outside and clean out the bluebird house on the shed…I spotted a bluebird just yesterday. They’ll soon be searching for a place to nest.
What is it about spring? Freshness, renewal, and new life unfolding everywhere! Makes me yearn for my beautiful flowers and all my butterflies!! But it won’t be long now.
Thank You, Lord God, that I live in a state with changing seasons!! Each season has its own “special highlights”.
